Our client is a highly regarded West London based full service law firm. Due to an internal promotion, they are now seeking a Business Development and Marketing Executive. The firm is a hub for the Connect2Law network and the role will involve promoting their services to smaller firms within the area with the idea of winning referral business from those firms. The scheme has proven highly successful throughout the UK and it enables the smaller firms to benefit financially from work which they would usually have to refuse. Working from the firms offices in west London , the role will involve the following: Research and analyse the law firm population for potential new member firms Develop target lists, make initial phone calls, arrange meetings and presentations with potential member firms Encourage new, and existing, member firms to make referrals and use the full benefits of the scheme Work to objectives and targets agreed in consultation Develop strong and lasting relationships with member firms to foster long term commitment to Connect2Law. Work with Partner Champion to develop added-value benefits for member firms Attend Connect2Law hub events Report regularly to Line Management and the Groups to help monitor the success of Connect2Law. Building on the success of the marketing department and the increasing importance of business development in the firm's business strategy, the jobholder will work alongside fee-earners developing the Connect2Law franchise. The jobholder will have responsibility for day-to-day business development activities within the specific area and will be expected to have credibility, trust and the confidence of the partners in the firm. Travel will be involved in the firm's wider geographic area , attendance at planned events, which may take place in the evenings, will be expected. The role will afford the opportunity to contribute to wider marketing activities. Skills & Experience: A proven track record of Business Development is essential. A proven track record of successful closing pitches is required. Previous experience of sales within the law would be a clear advantage.
