I am a fully trained orthopaedic surgeon and was appointed consultant at Durham and Sunderland in 1971.
I have now retired from the N.H.S. and spend my time doing high quality work both in the writing of medico-legal reports and in the treatment of soft tissue injuries.
I see claimants either at my home near Durham or in my rooms at Sunderland. At Sunderland I have to stick to office hours but at my home I can see claimants and patients out of working hours if necessary.
I am usually able to see claimants within two weeks of receiving all the necessary notes etc and produce the reports within another two weeks.
I allow an hour to see claimants and frequently take longer to make sure that I produce a high quality report.
Some of the injuries I specialise in include: Whiplash, neck problems, back problems, limb injuries, soft tissue injuries, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, knee pain and ankle pain.
