When it comes to property you have to pay attention to everything otherwise you will be in a tough position. Reading your situation, you are in one. Without wasting more time, consult a powerful attorney and they will tell you how to move further. To be precise, hire an estate lawyer. |

transfer of property ownership (Posted on: 2015-10-15 06:20:50)
I stupidly signed transfer docs but was assured at that point in time the solicitors were holding documents but i was not legally bound. I have a letter from solicitors confirming that it was not legally binding and also a copy of attendance note. The letter addressed to myself from solicitors states that if i was to agree to the transfer at that point with no legal advice i was to sign and return to them the confirmation that they gave me all the corret warnings and advice to seek advice myself but if i wished to go ahead at that point to sign and return a slip staing that i fully understood that i had no rights or claims on the property all i would be was a tenant on a 6 month shorthold. The solicitors coud not produce the signed documents when i requested them only a draft copy. I nevver signed the document nor did i provide photo id to them. They went ahead with the transfer straight away. I was only made aware this had happened when lan registry sent a letter to his mother at the property address onfirming completion. The solicitors closed last december due to their inabilitty to aquire insurance due to a number of high cost compensation claims against them. Is there anything i can do i my share of the equity. The house was valued at 140,000, the outstanding mortgage was only 32,000. Please any advice on a way forward, if any, for myself desperatly needed. |
