Changes to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 came into force on 10 March 2014 - See guidance (on the position in England and Wales) here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/new-guidance-on-the-rehabilitation-of-offenders-act-1974 The rehabilitation period for adults would be the period of the sentence plus a further ‘buffer period’ of 4 years, giving a total of 4 years and 8 months.

Spent convictions (Posted on: 2014-04-11 19:21:12)
I\'ve just come out of prison after serving 4 months of an 8 month sentence, can someone please tell me how long it is before the conviction is spent. I think it\'s 4 years but not 100% sure. Thanks
