Hi, sorry to hear about your impending \"problem\" nephew who may well turn up at your dear mothers house on his release -  surely you should be contacting Social Services , her GP and Dementia Society , who I guess will only have your mothers
welfare at heart,  by ensuring that she

On release     (Posted on: 2014-03-08 16:24:06)

Hi
Please can anyone help point me in the right direction, I don\'t even know if this is the right site for this query.

I have a nephew (30 years old) in prison and due for release later this year. Prior to going inside he was living at his Grandmothers (my Mums) house. She is 85 years old and in failing health with dementia, carers 3x a day and when he was living there it was awful and very expensive to say the lest.

I know that when he is due for release he is going to try and get back into Mum\'s house and if they ring and ask she will say yes. So how do I go about getting Mum\'s address, contact details etc removed. I don\'t know who to contact or where to even start with this.

The senario before he went in was he took any money he could lay his hands on, treated the house like a youth club and even tried to grow \'amusing\' plants in the attic! I don\'t think he will be a reformed character on release. My Mum cannot cope with this she is just too vulnerable. This assumes my Mum stays in her home as her health is deterioating and by Nov she may well be in a care home.

Please advise, many thanks in advance.
