 Finding out about a fraud case/sentence (Posted on: 2014-02-05 23:13:48)
I wonder if anyone can help, please. My partner\'s ex-wife is taking him to a civil court to seek a share of the proceeds of his house, and has just been sentenced for fraud. We know the court and date and that she got a prison sentence but wondered if we can find out any more details. Her fraud has a direct bearing on the civil case, as she wanted a divorce the day after they got married, then waited exactly a year to make a claim on his assets. We\'ve tried asking the police officer who dealt with her case, but no joy. We don\'t think her solicitor for the civil case knows that she\'s in prison. Our hearing is in about a month, and we are wondering if she will be let out of prison to attend it. Any help would be very gratefully received.
