Hi. If you know the name of the court that authorised you going into care and the name of the social services office that applied to the courts, then you should be able to get all your information from them (social services). The files you receive will have only your information as any other siblings that were with you will be blacked out. I am not a solicitor, but I had the same problem and this is how I did it.
if this proves to be difficult, could you ask a member of your extended family to help? perhaps your siblings might remember what the reason was for you being in care.
