 Trials at Bristol Crown Court (Posted on: 2012-12-04 21:54:04)
Hi, i was wondering if i could get some advice on the following matter. I am currently a 1st year undergraduate studying at the University of Gloucestershire on the fast-track LLB course. During the Christmas break I have to attend a crown court and then write a reflective log of the event. I have spoken to my tutor about whether it is preferable to attend the court from the Monday onwards (as was suggested by someone at Bristol Crown Court when i previously telephoned them) so as to be able to glean a greater understanding of how the legal system works in practice, from the swearing in of the jury to the verdict. What i was wondering was however is, does Bristol Crown Court have a list of cases that are due to be heard? and is there details of the trial, e.g a criminal hearing or a civil matter? Any help and advice on this matter would be greatfully recieved as this assignment (reflective log) has to be submitted by the deadline of 14th January. Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
