\'Plea and Case Management hearing, case started\' means the hearing where a defendant replies to a charge(s) put to him by the court had started when the information was recorded. If the defendant has pleaded guilty, he or she can ask to be sentenced immediately or the court may see no requirement for a delay (no pre-sentence reports required etc) in the proceedings. Otherwise, depending on the plea entered, the case will be listed for another hearing (for trial, sentence or further PCMH etc). An explanation of most of the terms used in the court hearings system can be found here :- hearing details |
