Just in case anybody is curious about this particular case. I managed to find the case number, sent an email to the court and was told that the trial date had been fixed for 19th March

I believe her case was due to be heard on 9 January, but I cannot find any details of whether it happened and what was the outcome. The reason I am curious is that the daughter of a friend of mine is serving 6 months for the theft of a pair of trainers, but of course she doesnt have a millionare for a father
