it could mean the accused had to go to court to have charges against him removed???

For Mention-charges dropped? (Posted on: 2011-06-15 18:00:58)
We have been told that charges against an accused have been dropped but the Crown Court listing show that he appeared in Court today with the annotation \'For Mention\'. Does this mean the charges still stand and the trail is likely to go ahead?
