It is the decision of the client and the client only as to what they are going to plead. A Solicitor can only give advice and hope they listen, so to answer your question, no they cannot.

looking for some advice on whether a solicitor can plead guilty for a client even if the client has said that they want to plead not guilty? Can the solicitor sign anything on their clients behalf?
