Record of outcome -Yeovil Magistrates
Hello,
Please can someone tell me if is possible to search for cases & any rulings for cases heard at Yeovil Magistrates Court? I have names of the suspects, but do not know when the case was heard, whether they were found guilty, & if so, what the sentence was.
It is a case of (alleged) neglect/cruelty of a horse, in Somerset. I know the suspects name, the village etc.
But I cannot get any results if I try to search. If such a thing is possible, please can you tell me how to go about searching?
Many thanks,
Si B

Refusal of Access to Children

My ex daughter in law is refusing to allow my grandchildren to see their dad.  She says it is because both her and him have been cited as witnesses in her new boyfriends case and are not allowed to see each other until it is heard in November!  This sounds like nonsense to me as they could always use an intermediary.  The twins are only 19 months old so are hardly going to tell tales!  Is she correct under Scot's Law?  Many thanks for any help.

regina -v- kearley 1992

Hello

This is a case that was reviewed on appeal in 1992 and relates to the "hearsay" rule and admissibility of that rule. The case went to appeal in 1991 and I assume that case appeal was dismissed. The ruling from 1992 states that the appeal (on that occasion) was allowed. Reading the judgement I am a little coinfused as it appears that 3 judges ruled in favour of the appellant (defendant) with 2 against. I am trying to determine that in this particular case the hearsay admissibility rule can be applied to the circumstances as in this particular case. Was the appeal upheld or dismissed and what does "allowed" mean?

Thanks
