Re:Desperately need help and advice regarding benefit fraud.
See sentences for similar offences here and get advice from a solicitor. It will depend on how long and how much money was overpaid as a result of your partners failure to notify. As a first offence the sentences tend to be non-custodial or suspended.

Re:Details

Unfortunately, this site does not provide details of any sentences before 2006.  I am sure you have tried local newspaper archives, but because you have the sentencing court and date you can also try to contact the courts ‘post hearing team’ and see if, as a journalist, they would be kind enough to search their archived records.  It may be that data protection laws prevent them from assisting you or because the date precedes the implementation of their new IT system they are unable to help. You may also want to look at Westlaw and Lexis which have products used by journalists to research people that may have the information you’re looking for.

Re:Details
You can use this site, if you know which court they are in, simply do a search for the listings at that court.

If you do not know which court the case is at, chances are neither the defendant nor the prosecution require you're presence at court.
If it is for personal reasons you wish to go, I would advise you call the court that the defendant is due to appear at (Start with Magistrates if unsure, as all cases pass through the Magistrates Courts) if the case has been committed to Crown Court, they will give you a date if a date has been fixed, or a warned date, which is basically telling you that the defendant is likely to be in Court in that week, the letters always start - the week commencing 5th April (for example)
Any questions you may have in regards to ANYTHING to do with your case, possible outcomes, assistance with anything, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Re:Details: for trial-resume 11.43
Batcher where are you looking? In the hearings lists? If so then they do not show an outcome, just what stage the trial/hearing is at. i.e. The trial resumed....I think the next stage would be "For Sentence" if the defendant was guilty, but this may be a matter of days, weeks, or even months later.  I don't know if it would show if they are not guilty.

If they are found guilty and sentenced the sentence may appear in the sentences section of this website. However, I have emailed The Law Pages before and they informed me the sentencing database is not yet comprehensive.

If you really want to know the outcome, perhaps you could call the Court directly, you can find a court directory here: http://www.thelawpages.com/magistrates-county-crown-court/

I hope this helps...WM
