because he has a history of mental illness they will more than likely take that into account so he will probably get off lightly.. i'm guessing when he sees his son its at a supervised visitation centre?

 

but i agree you should write to the probation officer explaining your concerns.

Re:Defendant pleaded guilty, name was on the court listings and now changed to *** format  
the name has only changed recently, the sentence was in March
