Yes there was a law brought out called Clare\'s law after a woman was killed by her partner she did not no his violent past and he went on to kill her Clares dad fought to pass this law so women could find out if they felt worried or threatened before they got into the relationship too deep or they could run a background check with the police.

Why do you need a third party, the courts, to prove that he\'s a bad character? If you already know he\'s a liar then that should be enough.

Been seeing my new bf for about 5 months but I have major trust issues with him. I have found out he constantly lies. He only ever comes to me. I have never met any of his friends or family. I don\'t even know where he lives. I basically need to know if he has a background I should know about before proceeding with the relationship. He is not on social media either. Thank you in advance
