Details of past convictions

Hello,

Can you please confirm if this site provides any details relating to past convictions that took place before 1999?

I typed in the defendant's full name, the type of offence committed, crown court where his trial took place and selected two dates in which I know for certain that the hearing took place, but no results are shown. The person I'm researching for a book served 18 months of a 3 year sentence sometime between late 1996 and the end of 1998/start of '99, but I would like to find out the specific dates of sentencing and release from prison, and also the details of the case itself.

If this site can't provide that detailed info for that period, does anyone know where else I can find it?

Appreciate any help.

Many thanks.

Details: for trial-resume

Hi. These details have been on a case I am following, but no update all day. Even now at 19.20. Other details have been updated at the same court. Is there a reason for this. I expected an outcome this afternoon.

Thanks.

Direct access barrister or solicitor?
My ex  is on Facebook and is posting his daily drinking habits including where when and how much he drinks on a daily basis. His drinking is so bad that I know he is drinking whilst our kids are in his care, my children say they have been in his car with him (and I know he has been drinking from Facebook). Can these updates be used in court as evidence of his negligence? I am worried for my children whilst they are in his care. What can I do to protect my children?

I am considering going to see a direct access barrister as money is short and I'd rather not pay to instruct a solictor and then the barristers legal fees too. I have found a direct access barrister for £150 which seems too good to be true. Is it best I cut my losses and see a solicitor?
